We cater to a wide array of events, including cocktail events with canapés and finger food, lunch and supper buffets, weddings and engagements, corporate events, elegant sit-down dinners, and memorial wakes. At Blue Plates Catering we understand that your big day is well, a big deal! Every element needs to be immaculate, and an essential element to consider is your food and drink choices. Whether you opt for a full, sit-down dinner, or a cocktail canapes hour, the catering service must roll out without a hitch. Blue Plates Catering is well equipped and experienced to cater your wedding, and being part of such a special occasion is truly one of our favourite parts of the job.
Blue Plates Catering is well versed in selecting accurate portions for your event. When requesting a quote, it’s important that you share as much detail as possible about your event, as there are a few factors that will impact how many portions you require. This may include the start and finish times of your event, event numbers and the style of event and service.
Blue Plates Catering packages are all inclusive. We have a minimum of one chef for food preparation and one service staff for each event. Depending on the size and style of event, additional service staff may be required. As a rule of thumb, we recommend the following:
25-35 Guests: 1 Additional Service Staff
35 - 50 Guests: 2 Additional Service Staff
50 - 100 Guests: 3 Additional Service Staff
Service Staff fees: $45 per hour, minimum of three hours.
Beverage Staff fees: $50 per hour, minimum of four hours.
Blue Plates Catering is always happy to try and accommodate last minute bookings and requests, so please contact us as soon as possible. For our Canapes Menus and cocktail functions we require final numbers 24 hours prior to the event. For Buffet Menus, sit down lunches / dinners, and grazing boards, we require final numbers 48 hours prior to the function.
We understand things happen, and in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, Blue Plates Catering requests to be notified ASAP so we can reschedule your event, or come to a mutual; agreement with a refund or credit. Blue Plates Catering always orders fresh food which is prepared within 24 hours of your event.
