Buffet MenuThe greatest memories are made over great food and catering. Take the hassle out of cooking and treat your guests to a beautifully presented lunch or dinner buffet. Blue Plates Catering supplies all platters and boards, styling elements, candles and theming décor, as well as crockery, cutlery, serving ware, napkins and disposable sugarcane plates and bowls if required.


Main Dishes



Full or Half Bangalow Ham on the Bone
Baked with Blue Plates' famous spiced rum and pineapple glaze, and served with seeded mustard, relish and fresh, soft bread baps + butter.


Baked Side of Salmon (skin off)
Baked with salted capers, lemon and butter, then topped with fresh fennel.


Whole Eye Fillet of Beef
Seasoned, seared and roasted to medium rare, and served with a red wine jus (GF) or a rich gravy. Accompaniments include seeded mustard and horseradish cream.


Slow-Cooked Bangalow Pork Shoulder
Pulled and served with roasted apple sauce.


Whole Roasted Harissa Spiced Cauliflower
Served with a Green Goddess sauce of blended avocado, parsley, chilli, coriander, and garlic (Vegan).


Poached Coconut Chicken
Coconut cream, kaffir lime and lemongrass seasoned chicken breasts, finished with fresh Vietnamese mint.


Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder - Greek Style
Slow-cooked lamb shoulder with fresh lemon and herbs.


Poached Tuscan-Style Chicken
Slow-poached chicken breast with sundried tomatoes, mushroom (optional), pecorino, fresh baby spinach and garlic in a light, creamy sauce.


Roasted Vegetable Lasagne
Italian roasted vegetables with a creamy béchamel sauce (vegan variation available with cashew cream sauce).


Butter Chicken and Basmati Rice
Mild authentic butter chicken, served with a yoghurt dollop and crisp papadam chips.


Green Vegetable Thai Curry
Fresh vegetable and chickpea Thai-style green curry, served with jasmine rice (vegan).


Mild Chilli Beef
Tex-Mex style beef and bean chilli served with a dollop of sour cream and crisp tortilla chips.


Spanish Paella
Chicken and chorizo paella with optional fresh prawns. Served from our authentic paella pan.

Crispy Baked Chat Potatoes
With roasted garlic and rosemary sea salt.


Green Rocket Salad
Peppery rocket, marmalade toasted pinenuts and sliced pear, finished with a caramelised balsamic.


Roasted Root Vegetable Salad
Roasted carrots, pumpkin and beetroot with baby spinach and a honey mustard dressing (GF).


Three Pea Salad
Spring peas, sugar peas and snap peas with toasted marmalade pine nut clusters and fresh mint.


German-Style Potato Salad
With fresh dill, seeded mustard, light mayonnaise and boiled eggs.


Caprese Salad
Heirloom tomato and buffalo mozzarella with balsamic glaze and fresh basil.


Mixed Cabbage Coleslaw (No Mayo)
Green and red cabbage with shaved fennel, red apple slices, toasted caraway seeds and a light honey-mustard dressing.


Baked Dutch Carrots
Baked with honey and fresh thyme.


Miso Pumpkin Wedges
Roasted in a miso and sesame glaze.


Old-Fashioned Potato Bake
Sliced potato and onion in a creamy cheese sauce.


Tropical Fruit Platter
A selection of fresh seasonal fruits and berries.


Bread Assortment
Fresh gourmet bread rolls (crunchy and soft), French sticks and ciabatta. Served with butter.
